When nanomaterials entered the soil in form of pollutants,it would have an impact on the soil environment. In this
paper, the theoretical and experimental studies abroad were summarized. Theoretically, the transportation process of
nanomaterials in the soil was preliminarily explained refering colloid transport mechanism. Experimentally, column
experiments were commonly used to simulate the transportation process of nanomaterials in porous media, and the main factors
affecting its transportation performance were also explored. Finally, based on the results and shortages of the existing research,
the corresponding research prospects were proposed.
