Scientific and reasonable monitoring indexes are the key point in building water pollutant total amount monitoring
system. Based on single index and lack of characterstic monitoring indicators which represent pollution emission,the
optimization and selection of monitoring indicators were launched. Taking papermaking industry as the research object in
demonstration area,comprehensive evaluation and three parameters comprehensive evaluation index method were adopted to
select monitor index, the system of monitoring indicators including COD,ammonia nitrogen, suspengded matter,oil, sulphide,
chloride,volatilephenol and AOX were sucessfully established. This study will provide theoretical basis and technical
supporting building dynamic, intelligent water environment safety and pollution monitoring system.
